Storage explorer(Azopy command )Copying files from one Storage Account in Subscription1 in Tenant ID A to Subscription2 in Tenant ID B

I have using storage explorer on my local machine and connected to subscriptions .

Storage Account A in Subscription1 in Tenant ID A --Container -->3 files

Now i made use of Storage explorer to copy the above 3 files from Storage Account A to Storage account B .

Storage account B in Subscription2 in Tenant ID B

"https://xxxxxxxxx.core.windows.net/images8638974444/?sv= --overwrite=prompt --s2s-preserve-access-tier=false --list-of-files "C:\Users\KKAUSH~1\AppData\Local\Temp\stg-exp-azcopy-5db25749-xxxxxxxxc.txt" --recursive --trusted-microsoft-suffixes= --log-level=INFO;

The question that i have here is : Which network is being used to copy these files ? Is that azure backupbone network ? Can you please let me know workflow of this copy operation ?

Thanks for the question. AzCopy uses server-to-server APIs, so data is copied directly between storage servers. These copy operations don't use the network bandwidth of your computer.

@Anonymous .. Thank you for providing the response . My understanding says : When you talk about any blob that resides ultimately on the Physical disk . So are you saying that they Az copy when it uses server -to-server API , it is something like ODX which happens at the storage end ?

Now why i was asking this question :

I have 2 subscriptions on 2 different Tenant ID .. Subscription A on Tenant ID A has a VM and i want to copy the complete OS disk and data drive of the VM to Subscription B to Tenant ID B .

Steps that we followed :
1)Created the snapshot of the vhd .
2)Created the disk out of the snapshot and moved it to storage account.
3)By making use of the storage EXplorer we copy and paste the OS disk from one Storage account in Subscription A to another storage account to Subscription B and that copy operation for the OS disk took like 2 hours .

First i would like to know/ask is their a way this can be done differently ?

@kumar kaushal When data is copied between storage accounts it is not first downloaded to the local machine and rather the data is transferred using the Azure network. The process you have outlined is one way to do things. You could also used Shared Image Gallery which allows you create an image of your VM which can then be access from another account.
