Adding KMS support for Office 2016 when Windows 10 already added

I have a Server 2008 R2 KMS Host that has been being used for activating Windows 7 and Office 2010.
It has recently had KB3079821 installed and a new Host key (with the non-sensical name "Windows Srv 2012R2 DataCtr/Std KMS for Windows 10") so it now supports Windows 10 activation too. (We'd been using MAK keys for Windows 10 previously.)
I'd like to add support for Office 2016.

I know this involves installing the relevant Volume Licence Pack but the article for that also describes installing KB2757817 first to "allow the KMS host computer to activate Office clients that run on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012" - no mention of Windows 10...?!
Ref: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/vlactivation/configure-a-kms-host-computer-for-office

Oddly though, the KB2757817 update is described as "Update adds support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2 KMS hosts". Given that KB3079821 I added for Windows 10 is described as "Update that enables Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 KMS hosts to activate Windows 10", I'm a little concerned that adding KB2757817 is going to downgrade some components that were upgraded by KB3079821.

Do I need that older KB installed too in order to activate Office 2016 running on Windows 10 and Windows 7?
I want to be able to activate Windows 7, Windows 10, Office 2010 and Office 2016.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

OK I tried installing this update anyway to add Office 2016 KMS support.

KB2757817 informed me it was not applicable to the system despite the official article!
The 2016 licence pack installed and activated fine without it and looks to be working.

I shouldn't have to be suspicious of MS documentation but this illustrates why I sometimes am!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform.
Windows Server 2008R2 is end of support, I check some cases online and find that many users have the same Office 2016 activation issue on Server 2008R2 as you.
And almost of them resolve their issue by upgrade KMS server version from 2008R2 to 2012R2
You could refer to this case below for more ideas, there are lots of useful suggestions in comments.

    Thanks for your reply.
That thread refers to a different issue - an inability to get Office 2016 activation to work once installed due to an early issue with the volume licence pack files. I've not found anyone asking about adding in Office 2016 activation after they've configured Windows 10 activation. I'm concerned about the apparent pre-requisite KB update for Office 2016 KMS (whose naming actually refers to pre-Win10 client OSs) which is older than the pre-req KB update I've installed for Windows 10 support.
