"Bad request -header field too long" error

Why do I see this? It's fixed by removing cookies for this tenant, but users wouldn't know that and it looks like the intranet is down, so it causes unnecessary support requests. Is Sharepoint's cookie handling really that bad?.

    Hi webbrewers3,

Sorry for the inconvenience that happens to you.

As you mentioned, the error can be fixed by removing cookies. From my personal point of view, preventing this kind of issue happens again will be much better than telling we users how to solve the issue. As the forum team support, we have the limited resource to investigate more. Given this situation, I would like to suggest you open a support ticket to report this issue. The support team there will have the correct channel to investigate more and try to find a solution to prevent the error from happening.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Regards,

    George
