I am tenant administrator and still got the following problem:

  1. I allowed custom scripts in sharepoint admin center and waited 24h
  2. I tried the same with the script: Set-SPOsite https://<orgname>.sharepoint.com -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0
  3. I set up a new teamwebsite
  4. I enabled Sharepoint publishing infrastructure on site collection level of that teamsite
  5. I enabled Sharepoint publishing feature for the teamsite
  6. I created an Enterprise Wiki-Subsite under the teamsite
  7. I enabled Sharepoint publishing feature for said subsite
  8. Content- and Script-Editor WebParts are still missing on that Enterprise-Wiki Subsite

What else do i have to do to enable Content- and script-editor WebParts?

    Hi Arck,

Thanks for your help. I posted the question as well on stackexchange and the following did the trick :

Custom Script needs also be enabled on the Site-Collection level!

    So not just:

    Set-SPOsite -Identity https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/ -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0

    But also this:Set-SPOsite -Identity https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/sites/<site> -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0

    Thanks anyway for your help.

    Kind regards,

    Timmy

    Hi Timmy,

Sorry for the late response due to out of office and thanks for the clarification which may explain why it happened.

After searching in the documentation, I didn't find any SharePoint Online commands for enabling Publishing feature, but I found a thread about enabling Publishing feature in SharePoint server using PowerShell and the related documentation, I hope it also applies to SharePoint Online, I'll do some testing and let you know if it is feasible:

    -      powershell command to activate the sharepoint publishing feature on all sites?

    -      Enable-SPFeature

    Best Regards,

    Arck

    Hi Timmy,

Glad to hear that the problem has been resolved, if we want to enable script for a specific site, we need to type the specific URL, I'm sorry I missed it as I thought you have done that.

Anyway, you are welcome to post in this community again if you have any questions about Microsoft in the future, and we are always willing to try our best to help you.

Hope you are all well during this period, stay safe and have a nice day 😊

    Best Regards,

    Arck

    Hi Timmy,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help.

According to your description, I did the following steps on my side:

    1.    Create a classic team site

    2.    Enable "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" in "Site Collection Features" settings

    3.    Enable "SharePoint Server Publishing" in "Site Features" settings

    4.    Enable custom script via PowerShell (the same command as yours)

    5.    Create an "Enterprise Wiki" subsite under this team site

    6.    Edit the page and the Content Editor and Script Editor webparts are available.

And I also tried creating an Enterprise Wiki site directly instead of subsite, it worked as well.

As we can see, you seemed to have done everything that needs to be done, but the two webparts are still disappear, to better narrow down the cause, could you please check whether they are available if you are working on other pages instead of an Enterprise Wiki page?

Besides, you can ask your colleagues to see if they encountered the same problem, so that we can know if it affects you only or your entire tenant.

Sorry for the inconvenient to your work, I hope the above information can help you a little, please feel free to let me know if there is any progress, I'll continue to help you.

    Best Regards,

    Arck

    Hi Arck

Thank you for your reply. After you suggestion, I tried the following Subsite Pages:

    Publishing Site (with workflow)

Still the same result, even though SharePoint Server Publishing is active by default

    Team Website (classical Experience)

After activating SharePoint Server Publishing it is still not available

    Team Website (No O365-group)

I abandoned this page, as it is in modern Layout, and I know for sure that modern layout does not support the script- nor content-editor webpart

    So no results there.

But I went digging and found in the source code of any of the sites the following:

    "SitePagePublishing":{"Version":0,"Enabled":false},

Does this somehow mean that even though I activated the SharePoint Server Publishing in the Feature-Page, it does not get activated?

Do you maybe know how to active the SharePoint Server Publishing with a PowerShell Command?

    Thank you for your support.

    Kind regards,

    Timmy
