Excel Worksheet tab options not functioning

My excel sheet tab functions are not working in one of my excel files. All other excel files are working fine.

When I right click on a tab all functions are grayed out except 'View Code', 'Protect Sheet' and 'Select All Sheets. The ones grayed out are 'Insert', 'Delete', 'Rename', 'Move or Copy', 'Tab Color', 'Hide' and 'Unhide'. See Screenshot below. I'm trying to copy a sheet and and cannot do so. I cannot click and ctrl drag the sheet to copy it either. The 'New Sheet' icon is also grayed out so I can't create a new sheet.

Windows 10

Miscrosoft Office 365

Excel file:   .xlsx

Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Hi Michael,

One of the possible causes should be your Excel Workbook structure is protected. When the Excel workbook structure is protected, see the screenshot below:

    To unprotect it:

Open the problematic Excel file> File> Info> Protect Workbook> Click on Protect workbook structure to unlock it.

Please give a try and share the updates to move further.

    Best Regards,

    Chitrahaas
