I set up an no-reply mailbox in Exchange 2016 and it is working well, but I would like to suppress or replace the status message that gets automatically added to the response.  Is there a way to do that in that Admin Center or the Management Shell?

Here is the message I want to suppress or replace:

Your message wasn't delivered because the email admin for the organization 'DomainName.com' created an email rule restriction. Please contact the email admin for that organization and ask them to remove or update the rule restriction.

For more information about this error, see DSN code 5.7.1 in Exchange Online - Office 365<https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=389365>.

    Hello Mike Pekarik,

Greetings. According to your description, do you mean if you want to create a custom NDR for the no-reply mailbox?

If so, in Exchange online environment, we can create a transport rule via the Exchange admin center like below picture:

After setting up the rule, the sender will receive a NDR with the the status code: '5.7.1' like below picture:

Moreover, I noticed that you mentioned Exchange 2016, if your organization is using pure Exchange on-premise server and if you cannot create such kind of rule or the rule you create doesn't work as expected, to better help you, we recommend you post your question in Exchange Server forum to get further target assistance. Engineers and members in Exchange server forum have more expert experiences to help you further.

Your understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Jennifer
