I have an access database whereby I SQL server tables linked in. I have an ODBC connection and I know I am connected to SQL Server. However, when I try to create a passthrough query in Access using the linked table, I get the following error: "Cannot find installable ISAM".

Can anyone help me?

Thanks, yea I figured this is an Access issue. I know I am linked to the tables and I can get data. However, when I try to create a pass through query in access, I get that error message.

Thank you for replying. If you come up with any ideas as to what might be the issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

Have a look at Microsoft Support: "Could not find installable ISAM" error when you refresh a data table in Excel
It's for MS Excel, but MS Access accesses data the same way, so it may helps you.

    Hi @Donna Ferreira ,

What ODBC driver version do you use now? Maybe you can try to use the newer version.https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/198026/access-dsn-less-connection-sql-azure-34could-not-f.html
