Windows Cannot find exe file

Can someone help me please :-( .. I am getting this error when I open a microsoft product, the exe file for each application cannot be found. I have tried file repair, unistall /reinstall but I still get the same error. Hopefully there are some very smart people out there that can help me with this ?

    Hi Terrence

    Many, many users are reporting this, it seems to be a bug in the latest update, this has been reported to Microsoft and we have not heard back from them, hopefully they are working on a fix for this problem, but for now, there is no fix published, I don't even know if uninstalling that latest update will undo this . . .

    1. open run  (Windows key + r)
    2. type regedit 
    3. navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Option
    4. delete the folders of the apps that don`t work

    the same thing happened to me with Quickbook Pro2016 and excel files.  I tried using the installation disc to reinstall and it still wouldn't work...BAHHH
