Microsoft Account Devices Missing

I have 2 E3 licenses for Office 365. I have 8 active installations of Office 365.

When I log in to my Microsoft account/devices, I see 7 devices listed, one of which should not be there (but could be misnamed) and I'm missing 2 devices. Some of the devices listed are from my E3a license and some are from my E3b license. I do not see my E3 licenses under subscriptions. All 8 Office installations are properly listed in my "Portal" login.

Adding new device does nothing.

Where are my 2 missing devices and where are my E3 licenses?

    Hi jebcpa,

Thank you for your reply and sharing in detail. You don’t have to unassign the license for the account. As you mentioned you didn’t see your E3 licenses for your accounts, you can either go to the Subscription page of the account or Microsoft admin portal with admin account to double check whether the license has been assigned to the related user correctly.

For the missing devices in Apps & devices list, it will only show the devices with the Office activation of this business account, if the devices is only signed in with this account, Apps &devices list won’t show the device name as my pervious reply indicated.

I suggest you can try out the following methods and see the result.

1: Go to File > Account > Under Product Information to check “Belongs to” section and see whether Office application is activated correctly under the right account.

2: If the account information show the correct account, try to reactivate the Office application by clicking Change license button below and sign in with your business account again and see the results.

Notes*: It may take some time to update your device with Apps & devices, you may wait for a while and see the updates in Apps &devices.*

In addition, if you would like attach images in your reply, you can click on the Insert Image button to upload. If there are any private information, please ensure you mask them before you share the images in public forum.

    Best regards,

    Dihao

    Hi Dihao,

The "portal" is Portal.Microsoft.com which brings me to the admin center

My first E3 license (I Call E3a) is assigned to Admin@******com

My second license (I Call E3b) is assigned to jeb@********.com

I am reluctant to unassign as these accounts are the only places I can see the information I need. Also, I have been advised that I shouldn't attempt to alter my E3s since I could mess up my email.

I have screenshots you requested but see no place to attach them here.

    Hi jebcpa,

Thank you for posting your question in this community. If you received a reply about calling “Microsoft support” number, please do not call this number due to the privacy concerns. It is a spam. We have deleted the spam reply and report the user.

Based on your description, it seems that you have some concerns with Apps & Devices list in Microsoft 365 account page, which there are 2 devices didn’t be listed in the Apps & Devices list.

First of all, regarding to your description about “All 8 Office installations are properly listed in my "Portal" login.”, may I know which portal login page you are referring to? You can share a screenshot of it so that we can further understand with this scenario.

More importantly, I didn’t find much information and articles about Apps & devices list in Microsoft 365 account page. But, based on my experience with Microsoft 365 Apps & devices, this list will only show the devices name if your Office application is activated by this work account. In another words, if your Office application is only signed in with this work account, this device won’t be listed in Apps & devices list.

After you activated Office application on the device with this work account, it may take some time to update and appear the device name in Apps & devices list.

    ===============

In addition, if your current account has been assigned with any Microsoft 365 for business license, you should be able to see the license information from My account > Subscriptions page

If you didn’t see any license under Subscriptions page, which means this account didn’t be assigned with any license. You can use the admin account of your tenant to access Microsoft 365 admin center and verify whether you have successfully assigned the license to this relevant account.

    For your information:

    Assign licenses to users

    Best regards,

    Dihao
