Microsoft Forms Data to Excel

I have created a survey in Microsoft Forms and have exported the results to Excel, but the format of the data is not exactly what I would like. For example, one question is a Likert. It has a statement on top followed by a 1-5 agreement rating in the current state and the desired state. Whenever I export the results to Excel, for example, all of the columns associated with this question are labeled Current State 1(15) and Desired State (2)15. The 15 corresponds to the number of the question set. Is there any way that I could format how these column titles are exported to Excel where the column name is the actual statement from the question?

The blue headers on each column are what I am speaking about specifically. Is there any way to control how those export from the form? Or is that automatic and to change them I would have to manually type in what I want for each one? Hopefully this adds a little clarity to my question. I appreciate your help.

    Hi Nathaniel,

Thanks for sharing your experience here.

According to your description, we did a test on our side.

Firstly, we added a Likert like that:

Then exported to Excel like that:

In this case, as we are not sure how did you set the Likert and have limited information about your export, to preventing giving wrong advice due to misunderstanding your question. Could you please provide more information about your question like a screenshot of your export? I can understand it could cost you some time, but it is necessary to help you more efficiently, your understanding will be highly appreciated!

Anyway, I ‘ll continue to help you, looking forward to your reply,

    Best Regards,

    Higgins
