Over the weekend i have been attempting to create a concentric pie chart, doughnut chart, in excel 2019.

a wasted weekend it would seem as i have been informed by microsoft support this morning that the functionality ended with excel 2016  in favour of sunburst charts for excel 2019.

i found the contric pie chart as in video above more graphically informative than the sunburst chart.

could anyone enlighten me as to how i get a similar graphic result from the youtube video on my windows 10 excel 2019.

many thanks

If you setup the Pivot Table a bit different and use a Pivot Chart you can get it in one step.

(Sorry for the German headings, I have no English system available at the moment).

    thank you for the response.

your method, whilst excellent, does not give exactly the same result as the video !!

any other ideas on how to achieve this please? i don't mind using sunburst charts if the required result can be achieved.

I don't have issues to create the chart with the same layout In 2019:

But that is not a Pivot Chart!

if you could ,explain step by step

    1..

    Download my sample file.

    Select cell A1

    Create a doughnut chart.

Now edit the chart data as shown in the video and select the cells within the Pivot Table.

    That's it.

    Andreas.
