I Can't Typing on Windows 11

i can't type in windows desktop or system search field. I also feel that there is something wrong with my system after updating macrium reflect UI.

how do i fix this, i feel very uncomfortable with this. thank you

Windows 11 is still under testing and development and such errors and bugs are expected?
Is it a built in keyboard or you are connecting it using USB?
Have you tried connecting it to a different USB port?
Would you mind elaborate more on the update issue and UI?

I don't think it's a problem with my cable. i use a laptop and when i use the laptop keyboard i still can't type in windows search (in settings and when i press the windows key)

If possible try connect an external keyboard and see if the problem persist?

Are you able to type using on screen keyboard?
It is under Start and Windows Ease of Access.
Open start and go to Settings and click on System->Recovery and under Advanced startup click on Restart now it will open Advance startup menu and see if they keyboard works?
Are you able to boot into Safe mode?

Hello, I purchased a new laptop with the Windows 11 and I also can't type into the Windows dialog boxes or search options, it is quite awful. I have been able to type in other applications and then sometimes copy and paste. Please fix this.

I had the same issue. I was looking up to do a command line SFC from the Windows Terminal, when the Terminal pointed out that the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service was not running - therefore I may not be able to do keyboard inputs. Turned that ON and this fixed things up for me. Cheers!

Richard, thx but, :) constantly recurring issue requires a fix instead of time consuming workaround. I'm tapping this message on my virtual kB because this is 3rd time this morning.......

Try download and install the latest update for Windows 11.

Symptom: in some fields like search fields the keyboards (usb, BT, build in) don't work. In other fields text input works normally.

This worked for me:

right click the Windows logo and choose Device Manager.
under Keyboards right click to Uninstall Standard PS/2 Keyboard and HID Keyboard Device
now the system prompts for reboot.

After reboot, things should work normally again.
