Hi,

I've encountered problems when calculating with the macro "PHStat". When I'm doing a one-sample test for when sigma is known and I put in all the data I get error for the level of significance. The errors look accordingly to the pictures attached.

Please help!

Sincerely,

Martin Hezsö

Hello Martin! I'm Jen, an independent advisor and a fellow Microsoft user like you. I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

Could you please check if your data in column A are formatted as numbers? Try changing the values with dot as decimal separator (example: for A1, make it 7.42) and see if it makes any difference.

Meanwhile, you might want to check out this video link which discussed about using PHStat to solve a hypothesis test for single sample t-test for the mean.

    Thanks for the reply Jen!

It doesn't matter if I'm changing the the commas to dots in the data. I have the comma as a separator in the settings. The error keeps popping up in the same matter...

    Any other suggestions?

The same problem arises when I'm doing a t test when sigma is unknown and I'm putting in the variables.

    Hi

I've got a few of my friends who have the same issue.

Have you managed to figure out why, it works perfectly well on my laptop but not theres.

Changing from decimals to dots also doesn't help

Have you uninstalled the program and re-installed it?

    Thanks a tonne!
