Hello.

I have a question about Last site activity, which can be seen from new SharePoint Online admin centre.

In which cases will it have value None or empty value in site activity reports?

Thank you.

Hi RolandsStrakis,

Thanks for sharing the additional information with us.

Report for the site activity will be displayed based on the actions done on the SharePoint site and moreover, as you mentioned this SharePoint site are never accessed after the migration that could be the possible cause for not displaying the reports. Moreover, you can give test by accessing the problematic site, uploading some files and check the behavior (per the test from Sukie screenshot and mine, the Site Activity will be updates for 48-72 hours).

At my end for one the site that which was not accessed:

At last, I will also share my test results once the Site Activity is updated.

Thanks for understanding and stay safe 😊

Best Regards,

Chitrahaas

    1. No. I can see activity of sites created on 2016
    2. Checked in IE - same thing
    3. Yes, other admins don't see date there too

I've noticed it when I've exported site activity report.

These sites might've been migrated and never accessed afterwards. Could that be an issue?

    Hi RolandsStrakis,

We appreciate that you posted back and confirmed the information with us.

And per your description, this site was created on 29.05.2017, and there are 15 stored files. However, you still cannot see any Last site activity.

Given this situation, I do understand the inconvenience it has made and apologize for it. Since we cannot reproduce the same situation, to help you narrow down this issue and provide specific suggestions, could you confirm the information with us?

    1. Do all sites created before have the same problem?
    2. Have you tried using another browser to check if the same problem will occur? If not, you can try it to check if the same problem will occur. This will help you troubleshoot if this issue is related to browser.
    3. Do the other SharePoint administrators all have the same problem? This will help you troubleshoot if this issue is related to you account or the whole tenant.

Thank you for your patience so far.

    Best Regards,

    Sukie

    Hi RolandsStrakis,

Thank you for your message in this forum.

According to your description, it seems that you want to know in which cases will it have value None or empty value in site activity reports.

If so, generally, it will show File stored number under Last site activity, the data update time may be in weekly units. And it seems that the last data update from server is May 9, 2020. As shown below:

You can also check the date on your side and according to the screenshot you provided, you will also find the date is May 9, 2020.

So may I know if you created this site after May 9, 2020 or you have not stored any files in this site before May 9, 2020? If you have not stored any files in this site before May 9, 2020, it will not be detected and will not show any activity. And if you created this site after May 9, 2020, you may need to wait for the next time server to pull data.

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, may I know when you created this site and if you stored any files before? You can also check if the other old sites to check if you can find any activity.

    Best Regards,

    Sukie
