Hi, how do it reset the page formatting settings of word to default settings on my MacBook Pro?

The text starts at the very top of the page and it the page dimensions change when i change the dimensions of my page margins. There is also no gap between the previous page and the next page when scrolling down.

Regards,

Janvee

You've merely toggled off the display of what is referred to as white space... most likely by inadvertently double-clicking the top or bottom edge of a page while in Print Layout View.  It's intended to maximize the editing area by not displaying Headers & Footers.

To restore the view of the document to what you ar accustomed to either double-click the edge once again or go to Word> Preferences - View then restore the check for White space between pages in Print Layout View in the Show Window Elements section of the pane.

    Hi Janvee,

Thanks for posting in the community, I’m glad to offer help.

According to your description, to change the page margins, you can go to Layout > Margins > select a style or customize it, the default page margin is “Normal”.

To show/hide the gap between pages, you can place the cursor between the two pages, and when prompt appears, double-click to show/hide the gap.

Hope the above information can help you, if they do help or you have any concerns, please feel free to let me know, I’ll continue to help you.

    Best Regards,

    Arck
