Hi,

so i have this peovlem. I recorded simple macro for the button where by clicking the button it refreshes all data in the workbook (i have 5 queries and povot table based on it). The button is located with pivot table.

But after refreshing it changes active sheet to the different one then the button is located in.

Even when i tried simply clicking “Refresh all” when i was in the sheet with pivot table it still moves me to the last refreshed sheet i believe.

is it any way to force excel to stay in the sheet i want? I looked everywhere for answer but couldnt find any...

many thanks

Rafal

Hi Rafalkk,

As per your description, when you click on recorder macro refresh button and “Refresh all” in pivot table it will move or change another sheet.

I would like to suggest you check the following:

1.Make sure you’ve updated Office to the latest version that some issues can be resolved with such method.

  1. Refer this article to refresh data automatically when opening the workbook  and reopen the workbook to check if it works.

3.Please try to create a new pivot table or change the data source and click Refresh All under the Data tab and check if data updates. Or copy data and pivot table to a new created workbook and check if it works.

  1. Check if you have any custom add-ins installed in Excel, click File > Options > Add-Ins. At the bottom of the dialog box, change the Manage dropdown to COM add-ins, and select Go. Clear the checkbox for any enabled COM add-ins. select OK.

If the issue persists, please provide the following information:

1.Please provide the screenshot of Office 365 Product Information. To get this screenshot, open any Office app such as Excel on your computer, click File>Account, capture the screenshot of all the information mentioned under Product Information.

2.Does this happen in an existing workbook, a new workbook, or all workbooks?

Your understanding and time will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Waqas Muhammad
