Hello,
I have created a pivot table and modified a style but it is not carrying forward to the table. Please see below picture. in the modify section it is showing that the 1st row strip should be a pale purple but on the design toolbar and on the pivot table it is showing as white.
I have also noticed that the option of alternate line colours is no longer available in the style options on a new spreadsheet see attached picture.
please can someone help with regards to these settings. I am currently using Office 365 and the files are usually saved as a Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Katies82,
Thank you for sharing the experience with us.
To help you troubleshot the issue, could you please provide the following information?
1.What is the version and channel of your Office? Please click File>Account, then capture a full screenshot of Product Information.
2.Regarding the first issue about "in the modify section it is showing that the 1st row strip should be a pale purple but on the design toolbar and on the pivot table it is showing as white. " Does the issue happen in a specific file? If you create a new file, does same issue happen?
3.Regarding the issue about "the option of alternate line colours is no longer available in the style options", to check if it is a display issue of the style preview, if you apply a style to your table, does the style display properly?
Appreciate your time and effort.
Best regards,
Tina

Dear Katies82,
I do a test again with the latest version of the Office applications Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel Version 2002 (Build 12527.21104 Click-to-Run) and I'd like to confirm whether the following effect is what you want.
If yes, I suggest you first update the version of the Office applications if it is convenient in your environment and check Banded Rows and Banded Columns under Design to see the result.
Best Regards,
Cliff
