Excel for Mac - Find and Replace - No Formatting Option?

I came here to ask the MS Community forum how to do a find-and-replace with formatting in Excel for Mac (for example, change the text color or highlight certain words throughout a lengthy document). What I have found, however, is that apparently Excel for Mac doesn't provide this option. How is this possible? It's such a basic, fundamental function. The PC version of Excel lets you do this (of course). What is the reasoning behind not providing this option in the Mac version as well?

    Hi JD,

    Welcome to community forum.

According to your description, we tested at our end (version 16.40) and we could reproduce your scenario. Referring to Find or replace text and numbers on a worksheet, this function is different between Windows OS and Mac OS. Per our experience, it’s a limitation on Excel for Mac.

We could understand your concern and situation, in this way, we would like to suggest you post your ideas in UserVoice, which is the best platform to let us hear from you. The related team often collects user’s popular thoughts there. Thanks to users like you, our products could get better and better day by day.

Appreciate your understanding and have a good day!

    Best Regards,

    Sandro
