Hi,

We have a site where the owner cannot approve access requests. It keeps saying Request approval failed.

We have done the work around mentioned below, but no luck.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/troubleshoot/sharing-and-permissions/request-approval-failed

Can anyone help us out?

Thanks

    Hi Sérgio,

Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused.

To rule out the issue related to a certain browser, we recommend the site owner switch to other browsers or in-private windows and check the results.

And for this issue, you can refer to Manage site admins to change the site owner or add another member as the admin to this site to check whether the issue also occurs on others’ accounts.

    Best regards,

    Madoc

Hey Madoc. Changing browser doesn´t work either. User is Owner of the site and another one as a member can approve without any problem.

    Hi Sérgio,

    Thanks for your response.

Since the issue occurred on a certain site and the owner of the site got effected, it may mean the issue mostly happens only to the tenant, something needed to be checked from the backend. However, our community support team has limited resources, I’d like you to escalate this issue to the related product team by creating a support ticket in the Microsoft 365 Admin Centervia Global Admin, the support engineers there have the correct escalation channel and this is the most efficient way to report such a back end issue for Microsoft 365 Online Services. Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Madoc
