I've copied 100s of emails off of individual websites and put them in a Word 2016 doc. Is there a way to find duplicates, and delete them?? I've smeared them in this s shot.

    Hi JoeFromSd,

It is indeed to do it in Excel. Yes, you can create a new workbook or open an existing file and add a new worksheet. Both will allow you to run the "remove duplicates" feature.

Please let me know if it works.

    Sincerely,

    Robert

    Hi JoeFromSd,

My name is Robert, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

I understand that you want to delete duplicate email addresses. Instead of MS Word, I suggest that you use MS Excel. Here is what you need to do:

    1. Copy and paste the email addresses from MS Word to MS Excel. Email addresses should be in one column.
    2. Highlight all the email addresses.
    3. Click Data > Remove Duplicates, and then Under Columns, check or uncheck the columns where you want to remove the duplicates. ...
    4. Click OK.

Additionally, you can visit the Help Center article below for more information:

I hope the above information helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Other than that, have a great time ahead!

    Sincerely,

    Robert

Sounds easy Robert! Is that a new blank Workbook I paste them into?

can it make a count of all the emails before (and after) I delete any duplicates?

    Hi JoeFromSd,

No worries. Yes, it does. All you need to do is to highlight all email addresses after you removed the duplicates and look at the lower right corner of Excel window it will automatically count the data for you.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Thank you.

    Robert
