i have done a series of animation and transition to my ppt and it played out fine. but today when i open my ppt, the animation and transition were still there but the duration were all changed to auto, i am very sure that i did not touch any of that. It shows in the animation pane that all the animations were still there

but as you can see the timing were empty, after trouble shooting, i found that my timing were all turn to auto through out the whole ppt

i dont know what went wrong and is there any way to make it go back ? i really dont wanna redo the whole thing. pls help

it is no use bcs i try to open the earliest version but still the animation doesnt work, so i try to redesign the animation duration but even after i set the duration again, it still wouldnt play。 It might be the duration on the top (it is shown on the screenshot on the original question) turn to auto but i never change that or even touch that button before

    Hi Jiechong,

    Thanks for your update.

Since you've enabled AutoSave for this document, you may refer to Restore a previous version of a file stored in OneDrive to restore the document to a previous version.

    Best regards,

    Madoc

    Hi Jiechong,

Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused.

By default, the content and edits in PowerPoint presentations will not disappear automatically, unless it was edited by others or failure to save the file correctly results in loss of file content

I would like to confirm with you whether you’ve shared the presentation with other users. If so, the file may be modified by other users.

And if you turned on AutoSave or saved the presentation to OneDrive, you may find the historical versions of the file saved correctly and roll back to any version at any time. See What is AutoSave? If you have not turned on AutoSave, I sincerely suggest you enable this feature to prevent similar problems in the future.

Besides, we would like to collect some information to further check it:

    1. Which version of Office do you have? After starting PowerPoint, click on File > Account, please take a screenshot of the Product Information part and share it with us.
    2. Whether it was the first time the issue occurred? Have you encountered similar problems in other presentations?

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Madoc
