WORD Formatting

Question

My formatting is constantly changing as I'm writing or revising my documents without my wanting it to. I set the Headers and Normal setting, but sometimes it doesn't change to the settings I have in the settings and I have to go back and revise, but then that changes something else, which I have to revise etc.

That is almost certainly caused by one or more styles being set to update automatically. The article for which Charles has provided a link will tell you how to fix the problem.

Could you give specific examples of unexpected changes that you are seeing?

Note that Word, to a certain extent, is dependent on the printer driver when it lays out document pages. Defining a fixed value for Line Spacing may help. For more, have a look at http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/TextReflow.htm.

Not helpful. I'm talking about just writing and revising, not cutting and pasting.
