Adding Hyperlinks to Excel

Good morning!

I am submitting a question on behalf of a user who is having trouble with hyperlinks in Excel and I'm hoping someone can help.

The user puts in https://dc.findyourunclaimedproperty.com/app/useful-links and receives this message: "Unable to open {link}. The Internet site reports that the item you requested could not be found. (HTTP/1.0 404). I tried to do some research on this but what I came up with was possibly the end of the link was throwing Excel's GET request off (app\useful-links). When we hyperlink just the https://dc.findyourunclaimedproperty.com, it works. I've tried using the link menu and also =HYPERLINK in the formula bar but neither works.

Is this an unresolved problem for Excel and Word (happens in Word too)? Does anyone know a way around it? I have poked around options in Excel and that didn't help (Options > Advanced > Web Options > Files > turned off "update links on save" per one suggestion I found).

We are using Windows 10 and Excel 365 app.

Any assistance is appreciated!

    Hi LexDW,

I’m glad to hear that you can download the link and work for you. If you want to run it with your company’s machines, I think you can share the link in SharePoint site and let the colleagues to download the link by themselves.

    For your reference:Share a site

Hope you can understand, thanks for your cooperation again.

    Best regards,

    Gloria

    Gloria,

Thank you for your response. I just tried the download tool and it appears to have worked. My concern is this is global across our company. I'll have to run it on everyone's machines just to get the hyperlinks to work? Is there another solution?
