How can I fix this??

The default system browser IS set to chrome, this is confirmed. But noe Excel is ignoring this and opening all hyperlinks in XLS files using EDGE.

Our users do not want this - how can I fix Excel to use the proper system web browser??

    Hi, BabaORiley!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I am Faith, an independent advisor here and a Microsoft user like you.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing. I recommend you to choose default applications by protocol. It will help to change the file association of HTTP and HTTPS. Follow these steps below.

    1. On your task bar, Search for "Default Apps" and click it.
    2. The Default Apps window will open, Scroll down and look for "choose default applications by protocol."
    3. On the choose default applications by protocol window, Look for HTTP and HTTPS on the left side corner.
    4. Once you found it, Click and choose your desired application for opening HTTP and HTTPS files.

Try to open a Hyperlink and see if it will open in your chosen application/default browser.

Let me know if this helps you.

    Hope it helps!

    I wish you a great day/night!

    Faith.
