'Record Pointer' does not work on my Home & Business 2019 MSO . It works fine my partners Office Home and Student 2016 ver. Is there a way around this. Or a setting that can be changed to make it work. Tried reboots and one monitor only, Toggling the 'record pointer' icon on/off has no effect.

Any suggestions

Thanks for the suggestion Regile but no change. It is interesting that in the 2019 ver. The mouse movement does not get recorded when using the " Screen Recording " tab but  A few icons away is the "record slide show icon" which does record pen and mouse movement.

The end product is a little different but it looks like I will have to get used to recording things that way.

Not sure if the 2016 ver has the same two options.  Thanks again

     Regards Peter Mac

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for reaching out in the Community. I hope you're doing great, in spite of the issues you're experiencing in PowerPoint. Let's sort this out.

I would suggest that you start PowerPoint in safe mode, and see if there are add-ins that might be causing this.

If the issue also occurs in safe mode, try repairing PowerPoint. If the issue still persists after repairing PowerPoint, I highly recommend that you reinstall Office. There's a possibility that there are corrupted system files that's hindering PowerPoint to work properly.
