Cannot remove Office 365 Subscription

I purchased and installed Office Pro Plus 2016 on my personal laptop at home. I logged on to Office 365 (provided by my University) one day just to check out the features but had never been able to sign out and remove 365 subscription from my computer. I signed out of 365 on my computer (see screenshot) and removed my device in the 365 Settings on the web. I still see the subscription in my MS softwares and all the features which are only available for 365 are there. Office 365 placed restrictions on some of the functions which I need for my work and I would like to hop back on my original Office Pro version

Please advise on how I can remove 365 completely from my device. Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your issue here.

If you want to remove O365 completely from your device, you need to remove the related license from your computer.

I suggest you can reset your Office activation status refer to the reference Reset Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise activation state.

And here are the main 4 steps to do:

1: Remove Office 365 license for subscription -based installations

2: Remove cached identities in HKCU registry. (Don’t forget to back up the registry for restoration.)

3: Remove the stored credentials in Credential Manager

    4: Clear persisted locations

The four steps above can be automated using OLicenseCleanup.vbs from the reference.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    May
