Forecast Sheet Changes When Moved

I'm trying to copy and paste the data table and chart created from a forecast sheet to a different sheet, and the data changes. Is there any way to stop that from happening? Or, is there any way to select where you want the forecast sheet created like how you can select where a pivot table goes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I figured out that the formulas have anchored cells, so I can adjust the formula, but it's tedious. You have to adjust the forecast, lower confidence, and upper confidence formula for each outyear. Any suggestions for doing this easier/quicker??

UPDATE 2: I can highlight the formula cells and replace the $s with nothing. Then I can move it. It would be nice if there was a way to select where the table and chart go.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay in responding. Things got very busy.

The copy and paste will work when pasting to the same location on a different worksheet (in your example, pasting to A1). I was moving the data around to add titles and to combine forecasts onto a single sheet, etc.

I will add a suggestion in Excel UserVoice of having the ability to select a location of where the forecast sheet will be created.

    Thank you so much!

    Hi,

Have you tested using our test workbook at your end? Please provide the requested information for moving further.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Sorry for the trouble caused at your end.

First, we would like to convey that it’s not possible to select the specific location to create a Forecast Sheet instead of New Excel Worksheet and refer to this article: Create a forecast in Excel for Windows to know the options that can be customized. Given the situation, we suggest you add your idea in Excel UserVoice as a related team can take into consideration about it.

Moreover, as you’re encountering the problem when you’re trying to copy the data and chart to another sheet, we’ve created a sample file and tested at our end, where the data or chart is not changed. For your test, you can refer to our test workbook.

In addition, can you create a new Excel file and check whether a similar problem occurs in a new file? (Note: Since the creation of Forecast is automatic and can’t remove the anchors in the formula before creating. When we tested by copying and pasting the data of Forecast sheet into a new worksheet, the data is not changed)

Lastly, sorry for asking but can you please record a video of the problem (the process of the way for copying and pasting) and share us the sample workbook, recorded video for better understanding and testing at our end.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Chitrahaas
