Hello,

it seems that PowerPoint is opening on startup, but only when my laptop has been shutdown long enough; over night !

i checked in the task manager --> Startup but there is no PowerPoint to disable or so !

when i restart or shutdown-startup again my laptop; it behaves as normally !

Is there anything i can do or just wait for the next update and hope it will fix it somehow ?

PS: It started happening just after I got a PowerPoint from a (trusted) friend and downloaded it via email, from the built in mail app... however MS office asked to "Open Safely" before editing.

Thank you in advance and hope you are staying safe !

Hi RoudyHanna

There is a known bug in Windows 10 which may cause applications to automatically start on Windows 10 startup, please try the method below and if that does not stop this behavior, hopefully the imminent version 2004 feature update will resolve that for you . . .

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Accounts - Sign-in options

In Privacy section at the bottom

Turn off the setting to “Use my sign-in info to automatically finish settings up my device after an update or restart”
