Hi GF92260,
Thank you for posting here in the Microsoft Community Forum.
We understand that you have concerns in capitalizing the first letter of a word in a sentence using Dictate in Word. We’ll do the best that we can to help you address this concern.
Based on the information provided, you’ve used the command “cap” to capitalize the first letter of the word Tree, however, it just displayed the exact word cap tree. Just to confirm, have you already tried saying ‘’caps” then the word that you’d like to capitalize on its first letter and check if it will result in what it should be as expected? If you haven’t done this yet, you may try to do so and see how it will behave when it comes to capitalizing the first letter of a word.
We’ve found article in reference to this information, as it applies to computers running in Windows 10 and all other related products. To easily find the exact command in the said article, you may CTRL + F, then type in “**Capitalize the first letter of a word”**to go straight to the section where you’ll see the exact command for this.
We do appreciate your comments and feedback about this functionality. We’re continuously striving hard to make sure of the improvements and enhancements of Microsoft products.
Should you have any clarifications, don’t hesitate to let us know.
