Sharing an excel spreadsheet

Hi,

I am a teacher, and I've set up a spreadsheet that will allow students to check their answers from home.  The spreadsheet lets them type in their result, and it simply tells them if they are right or wrong.  The sheet is protected so the students can only access the cells where they will type their results.  I posted the sheet on onedrive and shared the link.  It works well; a student can click the link and type in their answers.  The problem is, if the student doesn't remember to clear their answers, the next student will see all the previous student's entries.

Is there anyway to make it so the spreadsheet opens up blank for each user?  The spreadsheet is just to allow them to check their answers, nothing need be saved.

Thank you, Mr. Burge

Are you using Office 365 Education?

Are you sharing the files in OneDrive or SharePoint?

OneDrive in Office Education is different than OneDrive in "consumer". Has different options.

Take a look at these Office Education teacher resources. One is a forum similar to this one for teachers in Office 365 Education. People there have more specific hands on experience and can probably provide better answers.

Hi Mr. Burge,

Thanks for reaching out in the Community. I hope you're having a great day, in spite of the issues you're experiencing in Excel for the web.

As of this writing, sharing an Excel spreadsheet is working by design based on your description. As a workaround, you may create a separate spreadsheet for each student. I would recommend that you submit an idea in our Excel for the web UserVoice. This would help our developers improve our products, and might include this on our future updates.

Should you have any other concern, don't hesitate to post back in the Community.
