Hi All,
I am trying to access a .csv file uploaded to Azure Blob Storage using excel and can't see the option 'From Azure Blob Storage' in excel to connect to it. I am referring this link: https://tech-tutes.com/2020/11/05/how-to-connect-azure-data-services-from-excel/

This is what I get when I go to: Data tab > Get Data > From Azure-->

I don't see the option "From Azure Blob Storage".
I am using excel: Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14228.20216) 32-bit

Please can you help me.

    Hi,
I resolved this. It was related to the License. My older license was "Subscription Product Microsoft 365 Apps for business" and once it was changed to "Subscription Product Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise" It works.

In another word, my license was changed from Microsoft 365 Business Standard to Office 365 E3.

    Old License:

    New License:

    @Shivendoo Kumar ,
    Welcome to Q&A forum!

From the perspective of Office, please go to File>Options>Customize the Ribbon in Excel to check if there is the "From Azure Blob Storage" option under the Data>Get&Transform>Get Data tab on the right.

    • If not, please click Import/Export to export the customization file first, and click Reset to reset all customizations.
    • If it does not work, please re-import the original custom settings file.
    • Then go to File>Options>Customize Ribbon again, click New Group to create a new Group under the Data tab on the right. And find the "From Azure Blob Storage" option on the left, click Add and OK to have a check.

For detailed steps: Customize the ribbon in Office

If the above do not work, please try to repair your Office.
Besides, I also suggest you to check if other PCs have this issue.

Any updates, please let me know.

    Hi Shiv,

You can upgrade to Office 365 Pro License and the Azure Blob Storage option will appear.

You can also connect to Azure Blob Storage from Get Data from WEB option giving URL for Blob Storage.

    Hope it helps.
