Embedding Forms into Sway

When embedding a quiz from Forms into Sway it shows up with an answer to the first question already selected, how do I remove this pre-selection so that the user can complete the full quiz in Sway? The quiz in Forms operates as normal with no questions already answered. I have used branching for all questions so not sure if this is influencing it in any way.

    Hi Dan,

Thank you for the updated information.

I tested it again on my side, I found that there is a situation that makes the options in the form pre-selected, when you open the inserted Form, and the Form is in the selected state (not submitted), then open Sway at the same time on the same browser, the options will be pre-selected.

To check if this is causing your problem, could you please close all the Forms tab on the browser and make sure there is no submitted answer for the form to see the result?

Additionally, to check whether the problem is related to the specific form/sway, could you please create new form and then insert it to the new created Sway?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Hi Jazlyn,

I did embed the form that exact way but when using Chrome and previewing in Sway the first question has an answer pre-selected. I have downloaded Microsoft Edge and it worked fine the first time but when trying preview a second time the last answer selected for the first question comes pre-selected.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Dan,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, when you embedded Forms into Sway, the first question has already been selected. I also tested it on my side, however, the result was not same as yours.

Here are my test steps, may I confirm that they are same as yours?

    1. Create a form and then go Share > Embed > copy.

    1. Create a new sway, add a new section, go Media > Embed.

    1. Paste the code into this part.

If they are not same as yours, you could try these steps to see the result.

If they are same, to help you better, could you please provide some information for me?

    1. If you create a new sway and use different forms, will the same problem happen?
    2. If you switch to other browsers(both normal window and inprivate window), will the same problem happen?
    3. Does your colleague have the same problem?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
