Chromebook Microsoft Word

I recently purchased my Samsung Chromebook only to find out that I can't properly edit my documents due to all of the options being non-accessible e.g. developer options. Also, not only do I pay for Office 365 and all of its extra features, Microsoft Word was the main reason for buying/needing this laptop.

Any help?

Word on a Chromebook is the Browser/online version of Word, not the Desktop version. For that you need a different computer.

See: Differences between Word in the Browser and on a Desktop.

    Hi @Taliyah Ware ,
"all of the options being non-accessible e.g. developer options." Did you mean you cannot find the options or the options are existed but grayed out?
You can try to provide the screenshot about your problem Word here.
If you have purchased the Office 365, I suggest you try to refer to this support article and re-install the application:

You can try to provide more information about this problem and I'm glad to help you.

I've found a way to access Word on the web without the app.

    1. Install the Chrome extension Uncognito. (I have no relationship with the extension of its creator)
    2. Open a Chrome incognito window
    3. Go to word.live.com -- you'll need to sign in with your 365 account
    4. Open or create a file.
    5. Activate the Uncognito extension. It will take your Incognito tab and move it to a standard tab and you'll be able to work on it there. You can also open other Word tabs from the standard window.

You can access and save your files on OneDrive.

I have no idea why this works, but it does for me.
