Please provide a bit more detail on your question, I am a bit unclear on your problem . . .

What type of document are you working on, is that a Word document or a PDF and do you want to undo the edits you have made, or just close the document and save your edits and also what difficulty are you experiencing doing that?

Word is always in "edit" mode, unless you open the file as "read only"
