Hello,

We have 2 SQL server VM with VHD Sets.

Both server and vm are Server 2016

  1. Created CSV on Hyper v Host
  2. Added vhd sets on SQL1 and SQL2

Trying to create production checkpoints but ending up with the below error

Cannot take checkpoint for 'DB1-LIVE' because one or more shareable VHDX are attached and this is not part of a checkpoint collection. (Virtual machine ID EE11A0a2-E182-4196-Ba3-xxxx)

Our Synology Backup is failing because of this. Kindly assist pls.

I've tested very much today and I only once was able to create a checkpoint through the powershell commands. Which is the returnvalue you get when a checkpoint has successfully taken or appied? It seems on success it will return code 4096 for both events (create and apply), can you confirm this? I only was able to create once a checkpoint through powershell (with code 4096), but trying to apply the checkpoint also gave me code 4096 and nothing happened.
