    Hi VrindaKhattar,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft.

Per your description, you get the error in Excel, sorry for the inconvenience caused at your end.

As we cannot repro this in Excel version 16.43 on Mac Big Sur, we kindly suggest youupdate Office to the latest versionand see if the new updates can help solve this.

Besides, you can launch a safe mode on Mac OS to check if the issue caused by cache or directory issue with startup disk.

    1. May I know your Mac version and Excel version? Please go to Apple menu> click “About This Mac”; Go to Excel> click “About Microsoft Excel” and capture the screenshots of them.
    2. Capture the screenshot of the error message here.
    3. Do other worksheets also get the issue? Please also check the new worksheet.

    Hi Vrinda

Error 50001 has a variety of causes, which makes troubleshooting a little difficult.

We have very little to go on, as you have told us almost nothing about what is happening.

Is this a problem with one workbook? All workbooks?

Is this a problem with visual basic code you authored and you need help fixing your code?

What version of Excel are you using? Go to the Excel menu and choose About Excel to find out. If you have the current channel version it will be 16.43
