Azure PostgreSQL - Serverless possible?

Is there an option such as "serverless" in Azure Database for PostgresQL? I know it is available in Azure SQL but I'm looking for such an option in Azure Postgres so that the server/database wakes up only on request from database client. Using Flexible servers forces manual intervention for start/stop which is an overhead. Are there any other options? Please let me know.

Hi @ADS Thank you for posting your question. Azure Database for PostgreSQL is available in three deployment modes: Single Server, Flexible Server (Preview) and
Hyperscale. As you mentioned above server less is available for Azure SQL and Cosmos DB not in PostgreSQL. The only option will be to use flexible server to scale across tiers. The flexible server service allows you to stop and start server on-demand to lower your TCO. The compute tier billing is stopped immediately when the server is stopped.
In the meantime, I will check with our product group if there is another option.

    Regards,
    Oury
