The Insert button in Translate is missing in Excel for Mac ver 16.47.1

I have seen several posts and videos on how we can quickly translate a cell or a bunch of cells, columns in Excel.

Seems straightforward.  Except that the "Insert" button is missing from my Excel for Mac.

Steps

  1. Highlight a section to translate
  2. Click Review --> Translate
  3. Opens a docked window on right with the From <language> and To <language> sections

 and that is it!

I am not able to "Insert" like Microsoft Help says.  That button is missing!

I do the same in Word on my Mac and here the steps are similar and I DO SEE the Insert option which replaces the selected text

Has anyone else faced this?  Do you have a solution?

I did remove and add the Translator option to the ribbon (just had to try that out :-) ). didn't help

Thanks for your time!

    Hi Venky Na,

    I go through your post carefully and as per your description, based on to my test, I can get the same situation as you mentioned. Here are related screenshots for my test:

    Mac: When I****Highlight cells Review>Translate>there is no Inset button

    According to this Microsoft official article Translate text into a different language, in this part it notes that “In Excel, there is no Insert button, you'll have to copy/paste the text you highlighted in step1.”

    By default, there’s no “Insert” button on Excel on Office 2019/365 for Mac in this case, you may refer above article in Mac version of Office.
