Excel - Text not showing in cell when typed out.

Hi,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with excel in which the text is not displayed in the cell while typing. It shows in the fx bar and then in the cell once the return button is hit. This happens on both saved and new documents.

This issue seems to have arisen since updating to Big Sur on Mac OS. Although it seems to be only a minor issue it is rather annoying and i can't seem to find a fix.

    Hi Robbie,

    What version of Excel do you have? Go to the Excel menu and choose About Excel to find out.  The current channel version is the one you should have and it should be 16.44

    Hi Jim,

    My version was 15.33. I have since updated to 16.44 which has fixed my problem.

    Thanks for your reply which included this very simple fix. I was previously alerted of updates when opening an office app so didn't think to check this. Seems this wasn't the case this time. Maybe something to do with the update of my mac.
