Document Library Filters Resetting

Recently our users are reporting that when working in document libraries with a large number of files their filters are being reset when they open a file. I can confirm this is happening. When I apply filters to a document library then click one of the files to open it the filter immediately resets and then the file opens. this is very troublesome for users as they need to reapply filters every time they want to open a file. The workaround for the time being is to use a base "view" which seems to solve the problem but isn't always a workable solution. Does anyone know of a fix for this or is it a bug?

    Hi David,

We understand that the filter will be rested after opening a file in document libraries with many files.

We tested at our end, but we are sorry that we are unbale to reproduce this behavior at our end even we refresh the library page. And I believe that is because we don’t have the same environment as you. To work normally and efficiently for now, please create the specific View to filter all the documents.

Since this issue happens to multiple users in a complex environment, I sincerely suggest you contact IT admin to raise a ticket in Office 365 admin center->New Service Request. The related team will involve more resources and help you check it.
