VBA Modules lost

Hi,

I use a lot of macros in my work. Some are in my personal macro workbook, which is in OneDrive and some are in the Excel files I use them in. VBA still shows all modules in my personal macro workbook in the list on the left, but I can't access them anymore (the macros not in my personal workbook work just fine). They don't run and VBA doesn't display the code upon double-clicking. Depending on from where I try to run them (button, lint etc.), I may or may not get the error message that the macro can't be run and that it might not be available in this worksheet or all macros might be disabled. The latter is not the case. I checked in the Trust Center. They don't show in the list that pops up by clicking Developers > Macros, so I can't step into them from there. I can't recover a previous version of the personal macro workbook, nor can I export a module. I don't know what else to try to try and recover them.

Thanks in advance.

I can open the file without issues, all VBA modules and code is there.

There is only one small thing that could cause problems, some of the modules have the same name as the macros in them. That is not a fault in general, but I recommend not to do so.

I cleaned the project, renamed the modules, here is your file:

Does it work for you?

Andreas.

    You're a lifesaver! Work flawlessly.

I am pleased that I could help.

I've removed the file from my Dropbox, so nobody else can download the file.

I suggest you should do the same with your file, resp. disable the download link.

    Stay healthy, Andreas.

You're a lifesaver! Work flawlessly. You have no idea how much work you just saved me. Thanks so much!

And thanks for the tip about the naming. Will make sure I'll name modules and macros differently from now on.

If you give us your file I can take a look at the binary data and see if it is possible to extract some macros.

    IMPORTANT: Zip your file!

Click Copy Link in the lower left edge (no need to enter an email).

Copy the link and paste it here.

    Andreas.
