Document library on Sharepoint Site with Conditional Access cannot be synced on Mac.

Hi,

we have followed the guides to setup a certain Sharepoint Website that is just available from managed devices (Conditional Access).

After setting up the profile on Mac and registering it as a managed device we tried to synchronize a document library and the OneDrive clients fails with this information:

Is there a way to fix it? Restarting the mac and restarting the OneDrive client app did not do the job.

Cheers,

PE

    Hi WESTCODE_PE,

Thanks for posting in the community.

According to your description, the error message pops on when you use the OneDrive client to sync a SharePoint site/library.

Please view the scenarios and try the suggestions in the reference: "Sorry, OneDrive can't add your folder right now."

If the issue still exists, I would like to collect more information.

    1. Is the user able to access the SharePoint site/library in the browser?
    2. Do other colleagues have the same issue?
    3. Please try to create a new library and use the OneDrive client to sync the new library. After that, check whether the error message pops on.
    4. The OneDrive client version

If you have any updates or concerns, please feel free and come back to share with us.

    Regards,

    George

    Hi George,

we followed the referenced article but it did not make any change since the proposed settings are applied already.

The issue still exists. So we followed your recommended steps:

    1. The user is able to access the Sharepoint site/library in the browser.
    2. Yes, we could reproduce the issue on two Mac computers now.
    3. We created a new library and tried again to sync the new created library. It does not make any change.
    4. We are using this OneDrive client version: Version 21.030.0211.0002

    Hi WESTCODE_PE,

    Thanks for posting back.

    1. May I reconfirm whether the issue only exists when using the OneDrive client to sync the SharePoint library (whether users can setup OneDrive and sync their OneDrive files well in the OneDrive client)?
    2. For “reproduce the issue on two Mac computers”, I assume you mean you have used two account to test on two Macs. If not, please point out and let me know
    3. Does the issue exist in syncing the library in other sites?

Please contact your admin/IT department, go to OneDrive Admin Center> Device access, check whether the admin has blocked specific IP.

If you have any updates, please feel free and come back to share with us.

    Regards,

    George

    Hi George,

    1. The issue only exists when using the OneDrive client to sync libraries from SharePoint sites with conditional access on Macs.
    2. Yes, that's what we did.
    3. There is no issue when synching libraries on sites that do not require access from managed device.

I checked this. There are no specific IPs blocked.
