Pivot Table not showing values in Data Source.

I am sourcing pivot table data from a table created using power query. I don't get the values from the source table, rather I get a count. Changing the field propertes to sum results in zeros. When I put the value fields in the row, I get the values, but as rows. What am I missing?

I found the problem. When sourcing data from a spreadsheet through Get & Transform, check the formatting. Sometimes spreadsheets are formatted as text even though they appear to be numbers. Some providers of data, particularly purveyors of public data are not careful about how they format the sheets. Make sure to check the formatting before you Load & Go to ensure the formats are numerical, not text.
