How to make CHART TOOLS appear when working with graphs

I am using Office 365. While using Excel, I often graph data I collect. I can graph the data but I cannot manipulate the graph. Support instructions say to select the graph and then to click on the graph and CHART TOOLS  will appear with all the commands I need. My problem, CHART TOOLS never shows up when I click on a graph.  Does anyone have suggestions?

    I'm Gustavo, an independent advisor. I'll be glad to help you.

    Chart tools comprise of two tabs DESIGN and FORMAT. When you select a chart, these tabs are available.

    If this option does not appear for you click File > Options > Customize Ribbon, under Customize the Ribbon, select Tool tabs, confirm you have checked Design and Format under Chart Tools.
