Export to animated GIF

Hi I have a PC and Mac with 365 on both. I have exported an animated GIF from PowerPoint on both and the Mac but version is not saving in the same way. It stutters and does not show the same level of slick animation that the PC version saves. Is there a reason for this. Am I doing something wrong?

Regards Deborah

    Hi Deborah,

Thanks for posting in the community.

According to your description, I would like to collect more information.

    1. May I know the differences between the two GIFs? You could upload the GIFs in your reply via clicking the Insert Image button.
    2. Does the issue exist in a specific document or all the documents? You could create a new document to test.

Also, you could try to update PowerPoint to the latest on Mac and check whether the issue exists. Open PowerPoint, on the top menu, click Help > Check for Updates.

    Regards,

    George

    Hi

It should be the same. The code base is the same on both Mac and Windows.

Please go to the PowerPoint menu and choose About PowerPoint to be sure the version is 16.42

Can you share an example presentation (one that has no personal or confidential information in it) on a shared service such as OneDrive or DropBox. This way we can try on our Macs and see if the problem is isolated to your Mac or whether the problem is across many machines.
