The easiest way is to save the workbook as a .xlsx workbook. Excel will display a warning that all macro content will be lost. That is what you want.

Close and reopen the workbook, then add code, and save the workbook as a macro-enabled workbook (.xlsm) again.

    Hi Charren,

Hans provided instructions for removing all macros from a workbook.

Do you want to pick and choose which items to delete? You do that within the Project explorer in the Visual Basic Editor.

You can't delete a Project in the Explorer. Open workbooks are the names of the projects. Closing a workbook will remove its project name from the Project Explorer.

The issue was the add ins under option on a PC and Tools on a Mac. I had to disable the “Solver add in” and the VBA projects that I wanted to delete disappeared.

    Hi

That makes perfect sense. Add-ins are Excel workbooks that start up when you open Excel. Each add-in appears as an entry in the Projects list.

I am curious as to why it concerns you to see these in the list.

I have OCD so looking at them when I follow tutorials makes me distracted. I just can’t stand to see all these projects. They were haunting me lol
