Did you try Unformatted Unicode Text? When a URL is already formatted as a hyperlink, it will be pasted as such (and this has nothing to do with AutoFormat As You Type), but if you have the Paste Options button enabled, you should be able to select Keep Text Only.
copy pasting urls from internet in microsoft word document getting converted to hyper links
I make reports and often I copy paste URLs from internet. In Office 2019 it is getting converted to hyperlink automatically.
Meaning display text is some thing else and it is all blue coloured and I need to press control+click on that text to go to that URL.
I want to paste the URL as simple text and not as hyper link.
How can I do so what setting has to be seen.

You may try to turn automatic links off when you try to paste URL as plain text in Word. To do this, kindly follow these steps:
- In word, go to File > Options > Proofing.
- Click AutoCorrect Options.
- Select the “AutoFormat As You Type” tab.
- Uncheck the “Internet and network paths with hyperlinks” check box and then click OK.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
Adie

2020-11-26T02:40:10+00:00 the problem exists as it is. I copy paste a URL I have to manually convert it to text otherwise when I paste it is by default converted to a hyper link as in below screenshot OBS Studio link I copy pasted two times from Editing Downloads (techspot.com) and it got pasted as a hyper link not a URL that is coloured blue and has full text or web address.

Thanks for your reply.
I see. You may try to use Paste Special instead.
- Copy URL, then in Word kindly press Ctrl+Alt+V.
- Select “Unformatted Text” and then click OK to paste.
You can also manually access Paste Special in the Home tab. (see image below)
If you want URL to be clickable again, you may recheck the box for “Internet and network paths with hyperlinks” in AutoCorrect options.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if this is the output you want to achieve.
Kind regards,
Adie
