Please see below, I have embedded an Excel worksheet in the Word documents.

However, when I leave the embedded area and want to continue edit my Word file, the embedded Excel doesn't display properly.

    Hi Pin Soon,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

It seems like the embedded area shows less than it should show. May I confirm if the way you insert this data range in document is to copy the data in Excel>paste special in Word as a Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object? If so, please check my test details following.

1.Embedd in Word via Paste Special>Paste as Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object.

2.Then you will get the range same as you copied from workbook.

3.Double click on the embedded area and Word will show an Excel window inside(like the screenshot). Then you will be able to select the data range to decide how many data you want to show in the document.

Hence, the issue is that the embedded area should show data from A1 to C5, but the actual result is it only shows from A5 to C5. If my understanding is correct, try following ways.

1.Do more tests with new workbooks, new data range, new documents. Then, see if it will all lead to the same behavior like only shows the last row of the data range no matter how much you selected.

2.If the issue only happens on this document, then copy all content and make a new one. But if the issue persists with any workbooks and documents, then please try to repair Office: Repair an Office application - Office Support (microsoft.com).

3.Please share us the same screenshot in Word>click File>click Account for a further troubleshooting.

    Best Regards,

    Mia
