PowerPoint Export to Video Function Not Working

Question

Hi All!

I'm having difficulty exporting a PowerPoint to video, where despite having recorded audio into the slides for narration, it will not let me export the PowerPoint into video. I have been using OneDrive for the storage of the PowerPoint, and adding audio in through the desktop version, but it will not let me export to video.

Any help would be appreciated!

So sorry for this inconvenience caused to you.

To investigate this issue, I just made a test to record my presentation and export it to a MP4 file. It worked normally using My Excel app, so, I am afraid this issue may be due to your environment.

To narrow down this issue, please try to create a new PowerPoint file to see the result. And you may refer to the following articles:

Export your PowerPoint for Mac presentation as a different file format - PowerPoint for Mac (microsoft.com)

Record a slide show with narration and slide timings - Office Support (microsoft.com)

If the issue doesn’t happen to the new file, it means there may be something wrong with your current one. Given this situation, you may try to copy and paste the content form the old one to the new presentation.

Otherwise, if the issue also happens to the new file, feel free to contact me. Moreover, may I confirm the following information for a better understanding of your situation?

1. The build and version information of your Mac? (Apple menu > About this Mac)
2. The build and version information of your PowerPoint? (PowerPoint >About Microsoft PowerPoint)
