Thanks for bringing to our attention your concern with the random horizontal lines showing up when explaining your presentation. We want to get to the bottom of this as much as you do, so let’s work on this together.
To help us identify the cause of the issue and then find the proper resolution for it, please provide the following information:
- What is the current build and version of Office you’re currently using? To check, please click this
link.
- Is this your first time to encounter this issue? If so, were there any changes made to your account before the issue started?
- Do you experience the same behavior when explaining all your PowerPoint presentation?
- In what mode does the random lines appear?
To further isolate your concern, we'd like to request a record of the steps to duplicate your concern on our end. This way, we can properly diagnose the issue you are getting. Identify the cause and be able to provide suitable resolution. You can record

You can share the file by uploading it on OneDrive (check this link for
steps on how to so). Then send us the link by replying to ourPrivate Message. To view this, click yourusername or account nameon the top right corner of this page. Then, click View private messages.
Meanwhile, please open the file and PowerPoint in safe mode. This is useful when you have problem with Office application's feature that isn’t working as expected. This way, we can also identity if there are add-ins or extension that may be causing the
problem. To open Outlook in safe mode, press Windows key+ R> TypeOutlook.exe /safe, and click OK.
